By creating an account, clicking "I Agree," or otherwise accessing or using Politiips, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
⚠ Important — Please Read Carefully
These Terms contain a binding arbitration agreement and a class-action waiver (see Section 26). You and Adroit DRX, LLC agree to resolve most disputes individually through arbitration rather than in court. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first accepting these Terms — see Section 26.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding contract between you ("you" or "user") and Adroit DRX, LLC ("Adroit DRX," "Politiips," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the Politiips website, APIs, email communications, mobile experience, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").
By creating an account, clicking "I Agree," or otherwise accessing or using the Platform, you represent that (a) you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference; (b) you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter this contract; and (c) your use of the Platform will not violate any applicable law or regulation.
We may modify these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the revised Terms with an updated Effective Date and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in-app banner at least 14 days before the changes take effect. For non-material changes (typographical corrections, clarifications, or changes required by law), the changes become effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Platform and may terminate your account.
Politiips is a non-partisan civic-engagement platform that enables users to browse, rate, review, and engage with U.S. government officials across all three branches of government — Congress, the Executive Branch, and the Federal Judiciary.
No Government Affiliation. The Platform is operated by Adroit DRX, LLC and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or approved by any government entity, political party, campaign, candidate, or public official. Reference to any official, party, or entity does not imply endorsement. Ratings, reviews, and comments represent the opinions of individual users only and do not constitute official assessments, factual conclusions, or endorsements by Adroit DRX.
You must be at least 18 years of age and legally competent to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements, are not barred from using the Platform under any applicable law, and are not listed on any U.S. Treasury Department or Department of Commerce list of prohibited or restricted parties.
The Platform is designed for U.S. residents. If you access the Platform from outside the United States, you are responsible for compliance with applicable local laws.
You may register using an email address and password or via Google Sign-In. You agree to:
We may refuse service, close accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders in our sole discretion. We may, but are not obligated to, verify the information you provide.
Politiips offers a free tier and one or more paid subscription tiers. Current prices and features are disclosed on the Pricing page and may change as described below.
By providing a payment method for a paid plan, you authorize us (and our payment processor, Authorize.Net) to charge that payment method for the subscription fee plus any applicable taxes, on a recurring monthly basis, until you cancel. Your subscription will automatically renew each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
You may cancel at any time in Settings → Billing or by emailing billing@adroitdrx.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current billing period; you retain paid-tier access until that time.
Except as required by applicable law, subscription fees are non-refundable. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial months of service, unused features, or periods in which your account was suspended for violation of these Terms.
We may change subscription prices. Any price change will be communicated at least 30 days in advance by email and/or in-app notice and will take effect at your next renewal. If you do not accept the price change, you may cancel before it takes effect.
If a payment fails, we may retry the charge, notify you, and grant a grace period before downgrading your account to the free tier. You remain responsible for all unpaid fees.
Fees are stated exclusive of applicable taxes. You are responsible for any value-added, sales, use, goods-and-services, or similar taxes imposed on your subscription, other than taxes on our net income.
We may offer free trials or promotional pricing. New accounts receive a 14-day free Pro trial that does not require a credit card and does not automatically convert to a paid subscription. After the initial period, a trial may be retained at no charge by meeting an ongoing engagement requirement we specify (for example, sending a minimum number of invites per week); if the requirement is not met and you do not subscribe, the account reverts to the Free tier. We may change or discontinue the trial, its requirements, or promotional terms at any time. Promotional terms are governed by the offer and are limited to one per user.
For users in California and other states with automatic-renewal statutes (including but not limited to Colorado, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oregon, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, and Virginia), the following terms apply to any paid subscription:
Nothing in this Section H limits any non-waivable rights you may have under your state's automatic-renewal statute.
"User Content" means any content you submit, post, or transmit through the Platform, including ratings, reviews, comments, public chat messages, direct messages, voice recordings, images, profile bios, campaign ads, polls, and support requests.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and for the consequences of posting or publishing it. You represent and warrant that:
By submitting User Content to the Platform, you grant Adroit DRX, LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable (through multiple tiers) and transferable license to host, store, use, display, reproduce, modify, adapt, edit, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, and otherwise exploit your User Content in connection with operating, providing, promoting, and improving the Platform, in any and all media or distribution methods now known or later developed.
You retain ownership of your User Content. The license you grant is limited to the purposes above and terminates when you delete your User Content from the Platform, except (a) where content has been shared with or reacted to by others who have not deleted it, (b) for the reasonable time required to remove it from our systems and backups, and (c) for aggregate, de-identified analytics.
We may, but are not obligated to, review, monitor, or remove User Content. We may remove User Content, suspend or terminate accounts, and take any other action we consider appropriate, with or without notice, if we believe content violates these Terms, is unlawful, is reported in good faith, or may otherwise harm users, Adroit DRX, or the public.
To report content or user behavior, use the in-Platform reporting tools or email report@adroitdrx.com. We will review reports in a reasonable time frame. Where we remove content, we may notify the poster and provide a path to appeal by replying to the notification.
You agree not to, and not to attempt to:
You may not post, upload, or transmit User Content that:
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates this section and to take action against accounts that repeatedly or egregiously post prohibited content.
The Platform allows you to send connection requests and exchange one-to-one and group messages with other users. You agree to:
Connection-request rate limits apply (e.g., one resend per 24 hours). Abuse of the messaging system may result in rate limiting, suspension, or termination. We may preserve messages as necessary to comply with legal process.
Verified U.S. public officials may claim their Politiips profile using a verifiable .gov email address or through manual verification by Adroit DRX. Upon successful verification, the official receives a Member tier account at no cost, including access to a Member Dashboard and features described on the Pricing page.
By claiming an official profile, you represent that you are the actual official or an authorized representative of that official, and that you are not prohibited from using the Platform under any applicable ethics rule, campaign-finance law, or agency policy. Fraudulent claims are a violation of these Terms and may be reported to appropriate authorities. We reserve the right to verify, suspend, or revoke Member status at any time.
Administrative emulation of a Member Dashboard by Adroit DRX personnel is a read-only preview feature used for support and quality assurance and does not modify the underlying Member account's data.
You may not impersonate any person, including any public official, celebrity, or Adroit DRX employee, or use a misleading name or likeness. Parody and satire accounts are permitted only when they clearly identify themselves as parody in the display name and bio and do not attempt to deceive readers that they are the real person. We may suspend accounts that we reasonably believe violate this section.
The Platform and its contents — including the Politiips name, logos, designs, layouts, software, original text, and compilations — are owned by Adroit DRX, LLC or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, trade-dress, and other intellectual-property laws.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access and use the Platform for your personal, non-commercial civic-engagement purposes. No other rights are granted by implication, estoppel, or otherwise. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
We respect the intellectual-property rights of others and comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512. If you believe content on the Platform infringes your copyright, send a notice containing the information required by the DMCA to our designated agent below. Include: (i) your physical or electronic signature; (ii) identification of the copyrighted work; (iii) identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location on the Platform (URL); (iv) your contact information; (v) a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized; and (vi) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
We may remove allegedly infringing material and notify the user who posted it. If you believe your material was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice containing the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(g). Repeat infringers' accounts will be terminated.
"Politiips," the Politiips logo, and related marks are trademarks of Adroit DRX, LLC. Other names, logos, and marks on the Platform are the property of their respective owners. You may not use any Politiips mark without our prior written consent, except for nominative fair use.
The Platform integrates with third-party services, including:
Your use of these services is also subject to their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, security, or practices of third-party services. Government data is ingested as-is; we do not warrant it is complete or up-to-date.
If you submit suggestions, ideas, enhancement requests, or other feedback about the Platform ("Feedback"), you grant Adroit DRX a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use and incorporate the Feedback without compensation or attribution. You are not required to submit Feedback.
The Platform exists to facilitate civic discourse about public officials and government institutions. User-submitted ratings, reviews, and comments represent the opinions of their authors and are notfactual determinations by Adroit DRX. Where content makes factual claims, it represents the author's assertion, not ours. Nothing on the Platform constitutes legal, tax, investment, or campaign-finance advice. Policy descriptions, voting records, and news headlines are summarized from public sources and may contain errors or be out of date; verify with primary sources before relying on them.
THE PLATFORM AND ALL CONTENT, PRODUCTS, SERVICES, AND INFORMATION MADE AVAILABLE THROUGH THE PLATFORM ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ADROIT DRX, LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING, COURSE OF PERFORMANCE, OR USAGE OF TRADE.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT (A) THE PLATFORM WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS; (B) THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE; (C) ANY INFORMATION OBTAINED FROM OR THROUGH THE PLATFORM WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE; OR (D) DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED. YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties. To the extent such an exclusion is not permitted, the excluded warranties are limited to the shortest duration permitted by applicable law.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ADROIT DRX, LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, SUPPLIERS, AND LICENSORS (COLLECTIVELY, THE "ADROIT DRX PARTIES") WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, REVENUE, DATA, USE, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE) THE PLATFORM, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
THE AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF THE ADROIT DRX PARTIES FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100.00).
The limitations in this section apply regardless of the form of action (contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise), even if the remedy fails of its essential purpose, and to the fullest extent permitted by law. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on certain damages; to the extent they cannot be excluded, those damages are limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Adroit DRX Parties from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the Platform; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms, any law, or any third-party right; (d) your negligent or willful misconduct; and (e) any dispute between you and another user. We reserve the right to assume, at your expense, the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification, in which case you will cooperate in asserting available defenses.
By you. You may stop using the Platform and terminate your account at any time through Settings or by emailing privacy@adroitdrx.com. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of prepaid fees except as expressly provided.
By us. We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Platform, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, created risk or legal exposure for us, used the Platform to violate a third-party right, or for prolonged inactivity. Upon termination, the licenses you grant in Section 8 survive only to the extent reasonably necessary to complete operational wind-down. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 7–8, 15, 19, and 21–32 — shall survive.
You represent that you are not located in, under the control of, or a national or resident of any country or jurisdiction subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions and that you are not listed on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You agree to comply with all applicable U.S. and international export-control and sanctions laws.
Please read carefully — affects your legal rights
This Section 26 requires you to resolve most disputes with Adroit DRX through individual arbitration. You give up the right to sue in court, to have a trial by jury, and to participate in a class action. You may opt out within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by following the instructions below.
You and Adroit DRX, LLC agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Platform, or your relationship with Adroit DRX ("Dispute") shall be resolved by binding, individual arbitration, administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect, and not by a court. The Federal Arbitration Act (9 U.S.C. § 1 et seq.) governs the interpretation and enforcement of this section.
Either party may bring the following in a court of competent jurisdiction:
Before initiating arbitration, you must first send a written Notice of Dispute to legal@adroitdrx.com describing (i) your name and account email, (ii) the nature and basis of the claim, and (iii) the relief sought. We agree to attempt informal resolution for 60 days before any arbitration is initiated.
Arbitration will be conducted by a single neutral arbitrator. Arbitration hearings will be held in the United States federal judicial district where you reside, or, at your election, conducted by telephone or video. Each party bears its own fees; the arbitrator may award attorneys' fees only where authorized by law. The arbitrator's decision is final and binding. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
YOU AND ADROIT DRX AGREE TO BRING CLAIMS AGAINST EACH OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not preside over any form of representative proceeding.
You may opt out of this Section 26 by sending an email to legal@adroitdrx.com within 30 daysof the date you first accepted these Terms, with subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out" and including your name, account email, and a clear statement that you wish to opt out. Opting out will not affect any other provisions of these Terms.
If the class-action waiver in subsection E is found unenforceable, the remainder of this Section 26 shall continue to apply only to claims not subject to the waiver. If Section 26 is found unenforceable in its entirety, the Dispute shall be resolved in court, subject to Section 27.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Subject to Section 26, any lawsuit not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of those courts. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
We may provide notices to you by email to the address on your account, by in-Platform notification, or by posting to the Platform. Notices to us must be in writing and sent to legal@adroitdrx.com or to our postal address on request. Notices are effective upon receipt (email) or upon posting (Platform).
By creating an account, you consent to receive communications from us electronically. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications we provide electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. You may withdraw this consent by closing your account, which will also end your ability to use the Platform.
Under California Civil Code § 1789.3, California residents are entitled to the following notice: If you have a complaint about the Platform or desire further information, contact us at legal@adroitdrx.com, or the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs in writing at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834 or by telephone at (800) 952-5210.
